Avengers Age of Ultron Trailer #3

Earlier today, Marvel released the third trailer for the upcoming Avengers sequel; Avengers Age of Ultron. This trailer showed us more of the movies villains, including hints to what Ultron's goal is and how Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver come into play. In my opinion, the biggest moment in the trailer is at the very end when we get a glimpse at the Vision. See the trailer for yourself here.

Spider Man Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel and Sony finally put aside their differences, meaning that Spiderman will once again see a good movie! Starting with a role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film. This is perfect, seeing that Spiderman had a large role in the Civil War comic. In return for letting Spider Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel will likely help Sony make a new, good Spider Man movie! That's about it, thanks for reading!

Batman V. Superman Update

An earlier post on this movie was a bunch of gibberish and speculation. This time I'll try to just use speculation.

WHAT WE KNOW:
Batman and Superman will fight!
Wonder Woman will be in this!
This movie will set up all later DC superhero movie- wait. What?

Marvel spent years leading up to the Avengers and giving all their characters solo films so we could get to know their characters. DC is just shoving a Justice League prequel down our throats and hoping that it will make us want to see the they're later movies. This is wrong. You don't build pyramids pointy side down, and you don't give us a superhero team-up movie before the solo films. DC says that Wonder Woman and Flash movies is in the oven, hopefully Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman*, and Cyborg movies too, so why not give us those first, then Batman V. Superman, then Justice League. Also, how has a Shazam movie been confirmed before any of the ones mentioned in the previous sentence?! Anyway, what I'm saying is, I don't have high hopes for this film, but maybe I'm wrong. Batman V. Superman, no pressure.

*(Don't laugh, I explain his amazing-ness HERE)

Ant Man Trailer Analysis

A month or so ago, Marvel released the first trailer for Ant Man. From the trailer, we've found that the movie will feature Scott Lang, the second Ant Man, being mentored by the first Ant Man, Hank Pym, on how to be Ant Man. It also seems that Pym will be using Lang to get Pym's company back from the movie's main villain; Darren Cross. Cross's story will be altered from the comics, as he is apparently taking the mantle of Yellow Jacket. ImDb tells us that one of the female characters we saw in the trailer is Hope Van Dyne, does this mean we'll see the Wasp? I HOPE so! Ha! I'm hilarious... Anyway, ImDb also tells us that both Howard Stark and Peggy Carter will play a part in the movie, most likely in flashbacks to when Pym was Ant Man. That's all I got, thanks for reading!

Sorry for bad quality, but you can guess what the dot is!
First look at Yellow Jacket!

Marvel Phase 3

Everyone's probably heard about the Marvel event where Marvel announced all of its phase three movies, but I'm going to do a recap with some of my thoughts:

Captain America: Civil War (2016): Based on the amazing graphic novel, this story will circle around the government wanting superheroes to enlist and register their secret identities. The movie will be slightly different because everyone knows all the heroes' identities. Expect an Ironman vs. Cap fight that should rival the Shakespeare in the Park scene from the Avengers!

Doctor Strange (2016): This one shouldn't be an origin movie, but will open up the magic side of the Marvel Universe, much like Guardians of the Galaxy opened up the cosmic side of it. Just don't use his arch enemy, Dormamu, in his first film and I won't complain. Also, Cumberbatch in a Marvel movie can only be a good thing.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017): More Groot and Rocket, obviously. Otherwise, keep doing what your doing!

Thor: Ragnarok (2017): This movie will either have our favorite thunder god fighting the giant serpent Ragnarok, or follow the comic and have the gods be destroyed and reborn with no memory. Oh, and more Loki, can't have a Thor movie without Loki.

Black Panther (2017): The king of Uganda will feature in Captain America Civil War, and will likely face an enemy we'll be seeing in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ten points to who ever can find Ulysses Klaw in the trailer!

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 (2018) Part 2 (2019): I just hope it doesn't turn out that I waited six years for Thanos for nothing! That would suck. Also, that second part probably means they can't defeat him alone and call the Guardians for the second film.

Captain Marvel (2018): The first female-led Marvel movie, Captain Marvel will follow Carol Danvers' adventures on Earth. Wait, Earth?! No, no, no, Captan Marvel is a space hero that often teams up with the Guardians, why is she on Earth? Also, I had this little conspiracy theory that Sky from Marvel's Agents of Shield was going to become Captain Marvel since the show has been featuring lots of alien (Kree!) related stuff. You'll see. Probably...

Inhumans (2018): The final movie in Marvel's Phase 3 is the Inhumans, Marvels response to the X-Men. The Inhumans are a race that has been hiding from humanity, and are exposed to a gas that gives them powers on their 18th birthday, or something like that.

Well, that's it! I don't know where Ant-Man fits in, although its probably coming 2016 or 2015 since they showed some few-second scenes in Marvel specials. Thanks for reading!

Guardians of the Galaxy Review: Warning! Spoilers!

Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the greatest Marvel movies ever, rivaling the Avengers itself. If you've seen the movie, you would probably agree. From Drax's punch lines, to a dancing Groot, to a Howard the Duck after credits scene, Guardians of the Galaxy was funny, surprising, suspenseful, and action packed. There was just one problem. They repeated over, and over, and over IF YOU TOUCH THE STONE YOU DIE. They also showed that the Tesseract (Avengers) and the Aether (Thor the Dark World) were in the same category. Therefore, if you touch them, should you not also die? But NOOOO Nick Fury grabbed the Tesseract being all "Screw safety!", and Thor's girlfriend had the Aether inside her. These "infinity gems" are very picky and choosey on when they want to turn people to dust. Other than that, great movie, must see!

New Hulk Movie?

There has been talk of of new Hulk movie that will the story of Planet Hulk. Personally, I remember this as "that one animated Hulk movie on Netflix", but you may remember the epic graphic novel that gave us Skarr. Don't hate if I spelled it wrong. The animated movie (I haven't read the graphic novel) shows Hulk battle himself, should he get back to Earth, should he help the people of this strange planet? As well as battling himself, he must fight a variety of opponents in a gladiator ring, from rock-men to giant, robot worms. This was one of the good animated movies that came before DC started pumping out these crappy animated movies every other month. Remind me to complain more on that subject later. Anyway, the animated movie (and I suspect the graphic novel) were amazing, and if they do end up making a live action movie, I hope they do the originals proud.

Godzilla Review

Okay, you probably read the terrible reviews online and in the papers of this movie, but the truth is...  MONSTER BOOM BAHM GIANT BUG RAWR!!!!! NUCLEAR BREATH SMAAAASSSHHH!!!!! HELLL YYYYEEEAAAA!!!!! GOOODDDD FF****KKKIINNNGG ZZIIILLLLAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO THE HELL NEEDS A GOOD STORY!!!!!!

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Review

This movie was amazing, but not as amazing as the first one. On one hand I was super pumped to see three of the better Spider-Man villains (I'm looking at you average Lizard), but on the other hand I didn't want this movie to repeat the previous Spider-Man trilogy's "Spider-Man 3" mistake. As it turned out, it was a mix of both. Electro had an actual story and a new and, slightly improved origin. Green Goblin's origin was new, and, well it was new. Rhino's origin was... short. In fact, I think I'll give you the screen times:
Electro: 1 hour
Green Goblin (not as Harry Osborn): 10 min
Rhino (not as Gangster): 2 min, literally all the Rhino scenes were in the trailer. Seriously
All in all, not the best.

Justice League: War

This animated movie is based on the New 52 Justice League Vol. 1. The movie follows the book perfectly except for one important point. Where the hell is Aquaman! He played a key part in the graphic novel and many other Justice League stories! Should you forget the more recent attack on the "earth-dwellers" by Atlantis, which Aquaman stopped. Also, if you are going to replace Aquaman with another hero, make it a better hero. Captain Marvel (Who they renamed "Shazam" so no Marvel mix-ups) does not count as a better hero. He is Superman, if Superman was an immature danger to those around him. And so I conclude, Justice League: War, is not worth the watch. I am sorry this came late.

Man of Steel 2? Batman vs. Superman? JUSTICE LEAGUE!?

You may have heard that the Man of Steel sequel will feature Batman, but did you know it may also feature Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Lex Luthor, the Flash, and Martian Manhunter? This supposed Batman vs. Superman movie is beginning to look more like the plot from the game Injustice: Gods Among Us!

On the topic of Doomsday and Lex Luthor, which will be the main villain? I doubt that they are trying to repeat Spider-Man 3 (I'll looking at you Amazing Spider-Man 2), so you would think there would be a MAIN villain. Maybe Lex creates Doomsday, maybe Lex is just a bystander, maybe they will cut out one of them, but I doubt they will BOTH be major villains.

As for the heroes, if this does turn out to be the Justice League movie, it looks like it will be using the league from the animated series with Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl, as opposed to the New 52 league which replaces Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl with Cyborg and Aquaman. It may also be a mixture of the two. Or it could be Batman and Superman fighting, which, when you think about it, would be boring since there would be no villain.

The New Batman

I'm pretty sure that you've all heard that Ben Affleck is going to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Man of Steel 2. But have you heard that Detroit may be the new Gotham? Production scouts say that Detroit may be a Gotham stand in for the movie. Tranformers 4 and Disney's Need for Speed were also filmed there.

More Pop! Figures

I recently got some more of these funny figures with the big eyes. They were War Machine Mark II and  Iron Man's Starboost  armor. They are really detailed and I really want to get the rest of the set!

Justice League: the Flashpoint Paradox Review

This movie was awesome and followed the graphic novel very closely. I was surprised how well justin Chambers played the Flash! If you want to hear more about the movie, check out another review by Screen Rant.

The Wolverine: Review

This was the best movie Sony's made since they bought the rights to the X-Men! I spotted a few editing mistakes, but the plot was amazing. Also, if you stayed until the end, then you saw the whole airport scene with Magneto and Professor X. Notice the robot commercial by Trask Industries. Notice when Magneto said that there were dark times ahead, or something like that. I have one word for you that you should really look up: Sentinel.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

So, I know that everyone thought that Thanos would be the villain in the second Avengers movie, but apparently it's Ultron. This android was created by Hank Pym (aka Ant Man) and Tony Stark (aka Iron Man). The android was meant to help the Avengers, or store information, or fight the bad guys, or something, but it turned evil for some reason and turned on the Avengers. They told everyone about the Avengers sequel at Comic Con.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This is supposed to make a great movie! And id you don't want to know exactly what going to happen, then stop reading now. You see, when Bucky died in the first Captain America movie, he actually fell off the mountain and into the snow slope below. There the Russians found him (minus one arm) in a frozen state. They take him back and give him a bionic arm. But, he got amnesia from the fall (probably hit his head). He is used by the Russians as an assassin and is put in cry-stasis in between missions, keeping him alive to this day. Unfortunately, all this assassinating has turned Bucky into a ruthless killer known as the Winter Soldier. This entire thing is just me taking the story straight from the comics and making it fit with the movie.

Man of Steel Sequel: Superman/Batman Team-Up!

Warner Bros. recently announced at Comic Con that the Man of Steel Sequel will be featuring the Dark Knight himself! Now we already know that Christian Bale won't be playing Batman since he wants to see someone else play the part, but I bet you didn't know that Batman and Superman may actually fight in this movie, meaning we'll know the answer to the age old question: Who would win, Batman or Superman?

Thor: Dark World

The second Thor movie to come out, Thor: Dark World is supposed to be awesome. In the preview, I saw Jane Foster taken to Asgard. I also know that the villain in the movie is Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves! For more on Malekith see marvel.com/universe/Malekith.
Malekith
