Superman's New Power

Recently in DC's Superman issue #38, the Man of Steel was given his first new power since 1949, the Super Flare! This power allows Superman to expel all the solar energy that his cells have soaked up in a huge blast. Unfortunately, this leaves him powerless for a day or two. This will probably be used to put Superman in situations where he has to use his brains in stead of his brawn because he wouldn't be able to beat the enemy into submission.
