CW's The Flash Introduces Grodd

In the last couple of episodes of CW's the Flash, we got our first look at the shows version of long standing Flash villain, Gorilla Grodd. The show has so far managed to make amazing, realistic effects on its low budget, and this 7' tall behemoth is no exception. As with many of the villains on the show, Grodd has a different origin than the comics. Instead of being a member of a race of super intelligent apes, Grodd is now a normal gorilla that gained his telepathic abilities from the particle accelerator explosion. It hasn't been confirmed, but it seems that Dr. Wells purposely had Grodd exposed to the explosion, so that Grodd could serve some sort of purpose. The Flash is currently on break, but when it returns expect to see more of Gorilla Grodd!

Avengers 2: Merchandise Before the Movie!

Even though the movie hasn't come out yet, we've already had our first look at some sweet... toys? First, from the people at POP, we have the whole Avengers line-up, Ultron, and a extra large, 6" Hulkbuster! No word on when this figure will be available, but I will undoubtably be in line to get one.

Next up is LEGO, who has given us our first glimpse at some of the scenes in the movie, as well as the many models of Ultron, a look at the new Vision, several Iron man suits, and a Hulkbuster made of both traditional and Bionicle parts. This seems like a much better choice than making the giant suit a BigFig.

Finally, Hasbro has announced a whole Avengers Masion playset, complete with several Iron Man armors, Hulk, and other stuff. Just look at the picture, that's all I did!

Red Lantern Guy Gardner

I recently picked up a Red Lantern comic, something I don't usually do. Apparently the hot-headed Green Lantern Guy Gardner had replaced his green ring for a red one once again. This change could not be more welcome with me! This guy was always getting into fight with other members of the Green Lantern Corp, so what better corp to switch to than the one fueled by rage! I'm pretty sure he originally joined the corp to go undercover, but I have a feeling he won't be leaving for a while, seeing that he is now on of the most popular Red Lanterns, more so than Atrocitus, but less than Dex-Starr. On the other hand, by putting Guy in the Red Lantern Corp, DC has made him a more important character. Up until that point he had just been an angry GL, but now he has character and purpose. Also, he lost the dorky hair.

Speaking of Red Lanterns, I've also found that Supergirl had been one. This surprised me since I hadn't remembered her as being so angry. Also, I think Dex-Starr is the best Red Lantern ever. If you haven't read his short origin, you should check it out. You can find a video about it by YouTuber Comicstorian.

Lobo Review

I loved the old Lobo, in all his fraggin' glory. He was like a cross between Superman, Wolverine, and a biker. Now they have given Lobo his own series, but there is some guy that looks like a college student on the cover. Well, spoiler alert, because this is the "actual" Lobo, and the other fraggin' Lobo just took his name. Here's where the story starts; the new Lobo just killed the fraggin' Lobo and got arrested, blah blah hired to kill eight assassins, blah blah new team of annoying humans. Don't think this means I don't like the book, I do, but they could have kept the fraggin' Lobo around at least, and not have killed him.

Batman V. Superman Update

An earlier post on this movie was a bunch of gibberish and speculation. This time I'll try to just use speculation.

WHAT WE KNOW:
Batman and Superman will fight!
Wonder Woman will be in this!
This movie will set up all later DC superhero movie- wait. What?

Marvel spent years leading up to the Avengers and giving all their characters solo films so we could get to know their characters. DC is just shoving a Justice League prequel down our throats and hoping that it will make us want to see the they're later movies. This is wrong. You don't build pyramids pointy side down, and you don't give us a superhero team-up movie before the solo films. DC says that Wonder Woman and Flash movies is in the oven, hopefully Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman*, and Cyborg movies too, so why not give us those first, then Batman V. Superman, then Justice League. Also, how has a Shazam movie been confirmed before any of the ones mentioned in the previous sentence?! Anyway, what I'm saying is, I don't have high hopes for this film, but maybe I'm wrong. Batman V. Superman, no pressure.

*(Don't laugh, I explain his amazing-ness HERE)

Polls! Polls Everywhere!

Hey guys! I've put a poll somewhere on the left of the screen! If you care, go check it out, if you don't care, still go check it out! The current poll is on upcoming movies, if you don't like that poll, or have an idea for another one, please comment! I can't fix what I'm doing wrong if I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Ant Man Trailer Analysis

A month or so ago, Marvel released the first trailer for Ant Man. From the trailer, we've found that the movie will feature Scott Lang, the second Ant Man, being mentored by the first Ant Man, Hank Pym, on how to be Ant Man. It also seems that Pym will be using Lang to get Pym's company back from the movie's main villain; Darren Cross. Cross's story will be altered from the comics, as he is apparently taking the mantle of Yellow Jacket. ImDb tells us that one of the female characters we saw in the trailer is Hope Van Dyne, does this mean we'll see the Wasp? I HOPE so! Ha! I'm hilarious... Anyway, ImDb also tells us that both Howard Stark and Peggy Carter will play a part in the movie, most likely in flashbacks to when Pym was Ant Man. That's all I got, thanks for reading!

Sorry for bad quality, but you can guess what the dot is!
First look at Yellow Jacket!
