Man of Steel 2? Batman vs. Superman? JUSTICE LEAGUE!?

You may have heard that the Man of Steel sequel will feature Batman, but did you know it may also feature Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Lex Luthor, the Flash, and Martian Manhunter? This supposed Batman vs. Superman movie is beginning to look more like the plot from the game Injustice: Gods Among Us!

On the topic of Doomsday and Lex Luthor, which will be the main villain? I doubt that they are trying to repeat Spider-Man 3 (I'll looking at you Amazing Spider-Man 2), so you would think there would be a MAIN villain. Maybe Lex creates Doomsday, maybe Lex is just a bystander, maybe they will cut out one of them, but I doubt they will BOTH be major villains.

As for the heroes, if this does turn out to be the Justice League movie, it looks like it will be using the league from the animated series with Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl, as opposed to the New 52 league which replaces Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl with Cyborg and Aquaman. It may also be a mixture of the two. Or it could be Batman and Superman fighting, which, when you think about it, would be boring since there would be no villain.

SO SORRY!

I am so sorry that I have not posted at all for the past few months! I have been so busy that I simply forgot! I figure that you will need a recap of what has happened so far:

-Thor: The Dark World was even more amazing than the first one.

-The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will feature the Rhino, Electro and Harry Osborn as the Green (or Hob) Goblin.

-Netflix will be making 4 series about Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and some other guy that will lead to an Ultimates movie.

-The Justice League has supposedly been killed by the Crime Syndicate (heard that one before), but the Rogues, A.R.G.U.S., and Lex Luthor don't seem happy about it. Also, the Crime Syndicate got its own comic, Forvever Evil.

-Villains Week was the bomb.

-The Man of Steel sequel with feature Batman, and maybe the rest of the Justice League!

That was all the big stuff that I could remember, but there was probably more. I will try to post more often, but no promises! Also, on my youtube channel, I made two new Minecraft series that you should check out! Enjoy the photo montage!

Trinity War Finale!!!

This is a complete spoiler so if you have yet to read the ending of this awesome event- stop reading. So, it turns out that Pandora's Box is actually a portal to the Crime Syndicate's dimension! In that dimension, all the hero's are evil! That's why the box was making the Justice Leaguers go evil-ish!

The New Batman

I'm pretty sure that you've all heard that Ben Affleck is going to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Man of Steel 2. But have you heard that Detroit may be the new Gotham? Production scouts say that Detroit may be a Gotham stand in for the movie. Tranformers 4 and Disney's Need for Speed were also filmed there.

G.L.O.W. Week #4: Blue Lantern Oath

IN FEARFUL DAY,
IN RAGING NIGHT,

100th Post Contest Winner!

I am happy to announce that the winner of the 100th Post Contest is Comic Heart, for answering the question "What is Deadpool's real name?" correctly! The answer was: Wade Wilson! Comic Heart's super hero/villain was Supergirl, so you can expect to see Supergirl week coming soon.

Trinity of Sin Pandora Review

This is a great new series that ties in with the Trinity War. The first two issues tell you all about Pandora's past, but I can hardly believe that the series will go anywhere after the Trinity War is over.

100th Post!!!

This is a huge event! It is the 100th post that is on this blog! So I've decided to do a little contest, I will ask a question and the first person to answer correctly in the comments will get to choose one hero (or villain) that I will create an entire week about! Just remember to leave your answer, your hero or villain, and your username/name if you want to take credit! So here's the question:

What is Deadpool's real name?

Larfleeze Comic Review

This is a super funny comic that really brings the Orange Lantern Larfleeze's back story to light. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the other Green Lantern comics. I wouldn't give it to younger kids though because of the many uses of the word "a**". Also, I have an announcement to make. Next week will be the Green Lantern Oath Week (GLOW for short), that means that every day I will post a lantern oath, starting with the Green Lanterns and ending with the Orange Lantern Larfleeze!

Larfleeze #1 & 2 [10/10] This was just plain hilarious! I loved it!
The Flash #22 [7/10] This just reined what happened in the previous issues until the very end.
Trinity of Sin: Pandora # 1 & 2 [9/10] Both of these issues had 99% the same story, just get the first one.
The Superior Spider-Man #15 [10/10] This was very informative since I hadn't read the previous issue.
Deadpool #12 [10/10] This was a great issue which had an interesting twist ending to the whole Vetis thing.
Bart Simpson #85 [10/10] I tried something new and I liked it!

They have recently made a new website for the store that has some really cool features, like subscribing to different comics and having them email you when the newest one comes in, or looking at the new releases in the shop. Justice League: the Flashpoint Paradox Review

This movie was awesome and followed the graphic novel very closely. I was surprised how well justin Chambers played the Flash! If you want to hear more about the movie, check out another review by Screen Rant.

LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

You may know that LEGO is preparing to make a video game for the Marvel characters, as they did for DC in LEGO Batman 2. This new video game is coming out this fall, and will let you play as everyone from Spider Man, to Iron Patriot, to the Hulk. You can even play as Stan Lee and Howard the Duck! And because of the movie The Wolverine, the game will also have Wolverine, Viper, and the Silver Samurai!
Howard the Duck

My Home-Made Wolverine Claws

So, I was taking this class about 3D modeling at a summer camp, and I decided to make some Wolverine claws. I made the claws with a 3D printer. The claws are smaller than Wolverine's (3 1/2 inches long), and made of opaque  plastic. They aren't that sharp, but they look pretty cool.

The Wolverine: Review

This was the best movie Sony's made since they bought the rights to the X-Men! I spotted a few editing mistakes, but the plot was amazing. Also, if you stayed until the end, then you saw the whole airport scene with Magneto and Professor X. Notice the robot commercial by Trask Industries. Notice when Magneto said that there were dark times ahead, or something like that. I have one word for you that you should really look up: Sentinel.

Top 5 Female Characters (DC)

5. Huntress
Affiliation: Hero
If you're evil, she'll kill you. Sounds pretty simple to me.

4. Catwoman
Affiliation: Thief
She stole from Batman more than once. That earns her a place on the list.

3. Black Canary
Affiliation: Hero
She seems nice... if you're deaf.

2. Power Girl
Affiliation: Hero
The Supergirl from another dimension. Except instead of a symbol she has a hole in her costume which I swear they writers/artist did on propose.

1. Wonder Woman
Affiliation: Hero
She's dated Batman, Superman, and Colonel Trevor. She has super powers. She has an invisible jet. She is an Amazonian princess. What bout the last four?

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

So, I know that everyone thought that Thanos would be the villain in the second Avengers movie, but apparently it's Ultron. This android was created by Hank Pym (aka Ant Man) and Tony Stark (aka Iron Man). The android was meant to help the Avengers, or store information, or fight the bad guys, or something, but it turned evil for some reason and turned on the Avengers. They told everyone about the Avengers sequel at Comic Con.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This is supposed to make a great movie! And id you don't want to know exactly what going to happen, then stop reading now. You see, when Bucky died in the first Captain America movie, he actually fell off the mountain and into the snow slope below. There the Russians found him (minus one arm) in a frozen state. They take him back and give him a bionic arm. But, he got amnesia from the fall (probably hit his head). He is used by the Russians as an assassin and is put in cry-stasis in between missions, keeping him alive to this day. Unfortunately, all this assassinating has turned Bucky into a ruthless killer known as the Winter Soldier. This entire thing is just me taking the story straight from the comics and making it fit with the movie.

Man of Steel Sequel: Superman/Batman Team-Up!

Warner Bros. recently announced at Comic Con that the Man of Steel Sequel will be featuring the Dark Knight himself! Now we already know that Christian Bale won't be playing Batman since he wants to see someone else play the part, but I bet you didn't know that Batman and Superman may actually fight in this movie, meaning we'll know the answer to the age old question: Who would win, Batman or Superman?

Thor: Dark World

The second Thor movie to come out, Thor: Dark World is supposed to be awesome. In the preview, I saw Jane Foster taken to Asgard. I also know that the villain in the movie is Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves! For more on Malekith see marvel.com/universe/Malekith.

Question of the Week (or Year) #4

Who looks cooler? Iron Man, or Gypsy Danger from Pacific Rim? I couldn't choose so I'm asking you people instead!

Pacific Rim Review

This is the best movie of the summer!!! Giant robots that look like Iron Man fighting giant aliens that look like Godzilla! My two favorite things! Anyone who would give this movie less than a ten out of ten must not be right in the head.

The Trinity War

Something is happening. The Justice League has started fighting the Justice League of America. Doctor Light is already dead. And I have suspicions that the Justice League Dark will also play a role in this war. This is something that will shake the foundations of DC Comics. Every hero, villain, and comic nerd will be affected by this. It all started when Shazam flew into Kahndaq. The Justice League went in to take him back to the U.S. Shazam hit Superman. The Justice League of America showed up. I think that Kandaq will be leveled in a matter of hours.
For the whole story on the Trinity War, read these issues:
-Part 1: Justice League #22
-Part 2: Justice League of America #6
-Part 3: Justice League Dark #22
-Part 4: Justice League of America #7
-Part 5: Justice League Dark #23
-Conclusion: Justice League #23

July Issues 2013

Hey guys, I was a little slow getting the comics this month and I only got some of them. Check back with this post in about a week for more of the awesome sauce stuff!
-Aquaman #21 [10/10] Finally! The bad guy gets discovered!
-Justice League #22 [10/10] The Trinity War has STARTED!
-Batman #22 [9/10] I don'y really understand Zero Year.
-----I'll add more later!-----

Top 5 Marksmen

5. ME!
Weapon of Choice: Hunting Rifle
I am pretty good if I do say so myself!

4. Batman
Weapon of Choice: Grappling Hooks and Batarangs
You may not think about this, but Batman must be a pretty great marksman if he can manage to get the grappling hook to latch onto something or the batarang to hit their target every time.

3. Punisher
Weapon of Choice: Anything
He could snipe you or simply mow you down with a machine gun. He's not picky.

2. Deadshot
Weapon of Choice: Anything, but prefers snipers
You'll be dead and he's half a mile a way already. Best. Sniper. Ever.

1. Green Arrow
Weapon of Choice: Bow and Arrow
I shouldn't have to explain why he's number one should I?

If you don't think that these are the best marksmen ever, please say so in the comments.

Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters

I'm sure that most of you know that a new Percy Jackson movie is coming out in August. This movie is made after the second book, The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan, which has conveniently been made into a graphic novel a month before. I think that Robert Venditti did a good job shortening the book into a small graphic novel, and that Attila Futaki has made some great art for the book.

News On Comix 2.1 Overview

This is a small update that is mainly for design and functionality purposes. Also I was bored.

LEGO Man of Steel: Battle of Smallville Review

I recently got one of the new LEGO sets made for the Man of Steel movie. It is the Battle of Smallville. I reviewed it on YouTube and I wanted to tell you that I'm really happy about the fact that the Kryptonian ship in the set has room for two minfigures and their armor or weapons. Here is the video I posted:
For more information on these sets go to another post called 'New Man of Steel LEGO Sets' at http://newsoncomix.blogspot.com/2013/06/new-man-of-steel-lego-sets.html.

Injustice: Gods Among Us New Character

I have reentry seen that a new character will be available for download in Injustice. His name is Zod. General Zod. I don't know whether this is because of the movie or not, I just like that there is now another person who is as strong as Superman. Also he looks really cool!

The Half-a-Million Cover

I just read in the SF Chronicle that at the original cover art for Dark Knight Returns #2 will be sold next month in Dallas, Texas by Heritage Auctions for $500,000. The record price for a comic book is Action Comics #1 (where we first met Superman) which sold for $2.16 million.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Review

This amazing video game is a little old, but is still awesome. The game lets you play in four different dimensions, the amazing dimension, the ultimate dimension, the 2099 dimension, and the Noir dimension. You can unlock new moves and special abilities as you complete levels! It's very entertaining with its fun combos, cool designs, and simple controls. I think it can be played by kids since it has an easy mode where yu regenerate health (I'll admit it, I use that mode). I give it a 9 out of 10.

Justice League: the Flashpoint Paradox

This new animated movie is based on the graphic novel Flashpoint. It will feature Justin Chambers as the Flash, Micheal B. Jordan as Cyborg, and Kevin McKidd as Thamos Wayne/Batman. They say that the movie will stay true to the comic, but "they" say a lot of things. Peace out and, yes, I think that the Micheal Jordan doing the voice of Cyborg does also play basketball for the NBA

DC Comics Unlimited Figures

I have a couple of these figures and they look really nice. I want to find some of the Injustice ones though because those are my favorite. Here are two pictures of a bunch of these figures that you can blow up by clicking on them.

New Man of Steel LEGO Sets

Along with the Iron Man 3 sets, LEGO has made three new sets for the Man of Steel movie as well. These sets include Superman, General Zod, Faora-Ul,  Tor-An, Colonel Hardy, and Lois Lane mini figures. I just wish they had had a Jor-El mini figure too.
